Buffalo Bill Reservoir: Fishing is slow as the water is too warm and the fish are sluggish. For the trout on Clark Canyon take some Kastmasters, Swedish Pimples or Tungsten Wax Tails. The dam operators claim there could be some sort of move towards 4100 for the months of June and July.

FISHMT :: Waterbody Details - Montana If you do head out this direction, be extremely cautious wading and work the banks with heavy nymph rigs such as dark Stoneflies and Worms. Perch fishing has been awesome on the lower end of the reservoir while using Hali jigs, Swedish Pimples or other jigs and maggots near the bottom in 20 to 40 feet of water. Fishing on the upper Boulder has been fair, but use caution to avoid swift water, bears, moose, etc. Nymphing has also been productive, both with a short setup in shallow water, and a longer rig in deeper water. Most of the hatches have thinned out, but there are some mayflies on any given day.
