I was honored to share some one on one time with her as she prepared and packed up. It must have been an awesome thing to be her friend. Richard Zieman received $20,000 to help pay for a storefront remodel, windows, doors, awning, lighting and masonry. She had such an impact on sewing, and also in sewing becoming a wonderful hobby for me. I like so many others was a fan of Sewing with Nancy. I will keep watching your videos and reading your books and learning from you. Nancy is such an inspiration and humanitarian. . I often referred to Nancy as my friend, and all that knew me, knew exactly who I was talking about. I really have no idea how long I watched Nancys show. She was truly one if a kind. Marriages were to Butanowicz (Buttonow), Bruzdowski (Bruzdoski), Oehlke, Williams, Poloskey, Kuzmich and Musnicki.The latter were from Danbury CT, all others from Suffolk County. I never got to meet Nancy in person but like so many others I watched and rewatched her shows and felt that I knew her. Richard included a DVD within the inside back cover of his book. Nancy has taught me so much, and when I need to find a technique to help in my sewing/quilting, I know I can count on finding it in one of Nancys shows. Nancy is my hero and I am a fan of her books and TV show. Ill always have found memories of Nancy. I will always admire her. I grew up watching Nancys show and her calm, assurance inspired me throughout the last several decades. I am certain she is teaching our Angels how best to make their robes! I have always admired and looked up to Nancy. Saturday morning watching Sewing with Nancy is a ritual in my house. I enjoyed recording and watching Nancys videos for years and have many of her books. Nancy Zieman has had partial facial paralysis due to Bell's palsy since she was just over a year old.

I was fortunate enough to meet Nancy on a sewing weekend several years ago; even though surrounded by over a hundred people, Nancy had a wonderful way of making any individual she spoke to feel important to her. Zieman was born on June 21, 1953, and raised on a dairy farm in Wisconsin. How lucky all of us that like to sewing are to have been blessed to have Nancy Zieman and her knowledge cross our paths. Her impact will forever be felt. She will be greatly missed in the sewing world. As many others, I truly miss Nancy. I recently read Nancys autobiography, Seams Unlikely . I also was a sewer for college theater groups that very often had to figure out ways to make things work. She is missed so very much. Thank you for sharing her story. I have always enjoyed Sewing with Nancy and I still take time if I can to watch old shows she made us feel that we could tackle anything and she inspired so many of us to try. She could make us laugh one minute and cry the next. I cannot imagine losing the love of my life and being able to share your story with the rest of the world.
Nancy to discuss her Bell's palsy on sewing show - Madison This was in 2015 in King of Prussia PA. She was so gracious to all of us and even sign her first book for me. When I finally made the trip to the Sewing weekend- it was wonderful to see her in person. I grew up watching Nancy see on TV.
